2012 SCHOOLS  REGIONAL FUTSAL TOURNAMENTS  

Attention; the Principal /or Sports Master.  (8th Year of running school tournaments.)

We would like to invite your school to attend  your  regions school Futsal Tournament . This year , top two winning teams will progress to play against winners of our areas and other in the state , at  the NNSW School State Championships  (venue to be advised) and  be ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE  IN THE  SCHOOL NATIONAL TO BE HELD  IN  TOWNSVILLE  QUEENSLAND.

Australian Futsal Association , (Australia Biggest Futsal Association)  has combined with Hunter Futsal Strikers Northern NSW and Central Coast biggest Futsal Club , to provide a regional competition for all schools in our area ,and  to have an opportunity for the teams or players to represent  their school at  the annual AFA (formally Vikings) National School  tournament , recognised as the biggest and best  National School Futsal Tournament in Australia.

Our school tournament provides your school with the chance to compete with other schools for fun and enjoyment and  this year having  joined AFA, students WILL GET TO PLAY AGAINST OTHER SCHOOLS from around the Nation  and  possible even  make an  Australian School’s National Team.

If you are a local school who has supported Futsal, “indoor soccer”, in the past we thank-you and  look forward to seeing   you  again . If you are a new school to the sport, come and  try this  new exciting sport of Futsal. We are committed  to Futsal as it introduces our sport of  football to areas we have not been able to reach in the past. Wether you are a small or large school you can participate. Unlike the outdoor tournaments were you are out of the competition once you loose, in the Futsal competition you are guaranteed  at  least 3 games wether you  lose them  or  not.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS PLEASE NOTE ;, As a continuation of  introducing to more schools the sport of Futsal., we are once again presenting the  tournament at a cost of only $65-00 a team. affordable for all .

This year we are also having a FREE Level ( Introduction) Futsal  coaching course (2 hrs) for any School Teacher , Primary or High , that is interested . (Limit 2 per school ) . Enquirer direct to HFS office.

The winning Under 14 Girls team will get the “All Sports Direct Trophy”,  the “Hunter Cup “ to the winning Under 16 Girls . The winning Under 14 Boys team at each region will receive the “Ling’s Trophy” and the winning under 16  Boy’s team will receive the” Gorilla Cup”. Winning schools will keep the trophies for the year. The “ George Poulos” Trophy to the winning Under 19 Boys and  HFFS Trophy for the Under 19 Girls. State winners will keep these trophies for a year.

Payment can be sent up to one week prior to the date of  participation, unless prior arrangements have been organised, but we do need your expression of interest, so that we can arrange referees and a draw as quickly as possible..

• Speak with your students/teachers/school officials/parents and confirm  you wish to enter.
• Determine which regional championship your team wishes to enter.
• Fill in the corresponding entry form, ensuring all details are complete.

• After acceptance forward entry form and payment to Hunter Futsal Soccer & Sports
•  A tax invoice can be given on request and full refund given in the event of cancellations.
• All payments must be received no later than One week prior to your event unless prior      arrangements have been organised with officials.
• Please CONFIRM as soon as possible to secure your spot.
• We reserve the right to reject any team that fails to meet entry requirements.

PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY

• Teams may comprise a maximum of ten (10) players and must be a student of the school
• Schools may be asked to verify their teams that all players attend that school.
• All players must bring proof of age with them to the regional championships. Acceptable proof of age documents are listed below. ( Not required for primary Schools)
• After lodging an entry form players can be added to the team nomination prior to the commencement of the tournament and with the approval of the organising committee.
• Players must be of the age specified below and or younger, to be eligible in that division.
• Schools may enter more than one team in a category; however players are not permitted to interchange between teams.
• Primary U/10. and U/12 These teams may be mixed .( SPECIAL Subsidized rate )
